This resort is ideal for families. The most extraordinary resort experience you will ever have!
The Powder soft sands & the calm crystal blue ocean provides for a fabulous beach experience. The resort provides for a safe, clean and wonderful lodging experience.
The grounds are gorgeous. The people are warm & welcoming.
The entire atmosphere is beautiful & inviting. This has become my home away from home. My escape from the everyday hustle & bustle to a place that I can exhale! Enjoy the sunsets overlooking the ocean in a Romantic environment sipping a tropical drink or enjoying a scrumptious meal. Ahhh. This is Paradise!
I stayed in a 2 bed and the room was clean but needs some updating. Nothing really terrible but time has worn what was once a very nice unit. We had quite a lot of rainy days and on the last I noticed an Nt problem in the kitchen. The grocery shop on site. Prices are high in The Bahamas and that was the same at Super Value which is The Bahamas version of Publix. The resort was about 50% occupied and on the days of sunshine people bathed around the pool and deck.
The view of the ocean is absolutely spectacular. Very little to do at the resort and the small restaurant bar near the reception was very quiet. Prices at the pool bar were high but that is in line with the prices in general. A Corona beer was $6. The resort offers yoga but he never showed which I think was because it was Xmas week. The gym on site was ok and I think I saw only one other person using it other than me. The staff are friendly and accommodating.
The internet is non existent. In my 7 days it barely worked. The hotspot was available for a few minutes before kicking you off. Things to do. The resort offer free bikes which I took full advantage of. The bikes were not in the best of shape but they worked.
I cycled down to where The Atlantis is. In the evening you can go down to the harbor to eat, drink and shop. In the harbor ware some amazing boats.
The prices are high for food and drinks. I found a nice bar at the steakhouses drank 3 nice Moscow Mules for $75. During the day I would cycle to the bridge and walk over.
The bridge is very steep. On the other side are numerous eating shacks. Mackenzies prepare a lovely Cinch salad. They also have some nice cooked fish dishes. Prices are ok. My fav place was at the end of the row where they serve you Conch with lime, tomatoes, green peppers and a hot pepper in a bag.
$3,4 or $5 dollar Conches. I loved them. Stayed first week of Dec 2019 and had a nice time at this resort. Having been to Nassau several times, we see Paradise Island to be much cleaner. The advantage and disadvantage of this resort is that it is at the end of Parad island.
There is nothing down there but residential and golf. This means that without a car you must walk up to the other end for entertainment, food, to catch the water ferry to Nassau for the day or take a taxi. (rate is $10 one way anywhere on island) We did not rent a car and are glad we did not because parking is nonexistent on Nassau and payable at a garage up by Atlantis. So we walked to the other end a few times and we are both in our early 70s so it is doable. When you walk you past the Versailles Gardens which are beautiful and free to visit. A recommended walk is up the beach to Ocean Club, cross thru that 5 Star property and out the other end you are at Versailles and almost at Atlantis area.
Yes the units are older but they are impeccably clean and there is a sort of family feel to the place. DEFINITELY have a taxi take you to a real grocery store on Nassau and wait while you stock up on groceries. The market at PIBC has just some basic things and the other store up by Atlantis is not much better. It would have been nice if this resort had some afternoon activities (like Bingo or water classes). They tried some evening dinner events but not enough guests signed up no doubt due to cost of food which lead to costly event.
As a timeshare your view is hit or miss. Half the rooms do not even have a peak of the ocean but there is plenty of pool and beach area to use to grab those views. Finally we took the all day boat tour with Hidden Beach to see the famous Exuma Swimming Pigs. Glad we did it but it is a long day out.
Scenic location but outdated furnishings and maintenance. Bed and couch had valleys but well equipped kitchen and clean unit.
Staff very friendly but minimal on site ammenities. A trip to the grocery store is mandatory because meals are very expensive & on site eating options limited. Walking distance to the Ocean Club resort but we never ventured there to check out their restaurants.
Thankfully my hubbie loves to cook. $120 + cab fare to SuperValue grocery store held us for the week. Our main goal was to golf and Ocean Club (especially) & Baha Mar did not dissappoint. Be prepared for taxi fees of minimum $20 wherever you go. $35 to airport.
Our unit one was right on the ocean so the view was great. But the valleys in the bed and couch were long overdue for replacement. Overall very clean and served the purpose of condo vs hotel room but minimal amenities on site.
