A major update for Affordable Space Adventures will be coming before the end of the month in Europe. The update is anticipated to fix bugs and provide adjustments to the title based on player feedback, In addition, the update will bring a series of new levels known as 'Origin Story' that has extremely difficult levels and is recommended for those who managed to complete the base game.In anticipation of the update, the game will have its first sale in Thursday's European eShop update at €15.00 / £13.50. The sale and update will come to North America shortly after, but no date was given.UPDATE November 10: KnapNok has announced the update will come out in all territories this week.We can confirm that Affordable Space Adventures' free update will be arriving in America at the same time as Europe & Australia, Nov. 12th!— KnapNok Games (@KnapNokGames). Quote from: StratosWill there be a sale in the US? I'm interested in this game and a sale would get me to bite the bullet.I read that a 20% sale is coming to North America soon. Not sure how accurate that is though.Hmm.
Normally $25 in Canada, and still $20 when on sale. Some people get all in a tizzy when I say it, but $20 for a digital game is rarely worth it in my opinion. Even with the extra content they are offering (which sounds great) and knowing this is a cool game from a developer I want to support, that's more than I'm going to pay. Quote from: SorenI hope you at least understand why some people are get in a tizzy when you say 'I want to support this developer because they made a cool game' and 'I refuse to pay full price, or even 20% off full price' back-to-back in the same sentence. Specially when the devs in question are indie and depend much more on the people actually supporting them by buying their product.I can understand why people get into a tizzy.I don't really care though because that's the reality of the situation (for me). Also, you conveniently left out a key piece of information: it's not the developer, or the quality of the game, or an insistence on bigger discounts. It's that (for me) digital content on a Nintendo console simply isn't worth the price they asking regardless of the quality. The dev team are great. They make interesting and fun games.
I do want to support them, but have a limited budget and a myriad of options competing for that money. Digital content in a highly restrictive ecosystem like Nintendo offers is a hard sell, especially when using premium pricing. If your budget is bigger, if you don't care about actual ownership or have concerns about accessing your content moving forward, good for you.
